Integral to almost 2 decades of involvements in Penang Hill, a different challenge arose in view of the design of the Hill Station for the state-initiated partnership for the new Cable Car System. The Cable Car system introduced intends to diffuse the intensity and carrying capacity of the century old funicular system. It is also a conscious effort to provide alternative transport for a varied leisure experience. Collaboratively, we formed the Transit Oriented Development Specialist team that dives into the intricacy of building a Hill Station within the rainforests that is so sacred to all. The concept and implementation from the initiation to implementation focus on effective planning and innovative engineering.

The concept:
Harmony – the permutation of the form arises from an inspired evocation of harmony between nature and built form.

The graceful interplay demonstrates the utmost respect to the natural form and the building does not dominate, more so, it amplifies the notion
