Vision
Architecture is viewed as effective, as consultative, as sensitive to needs and changes. We believe that crafting design is only effective and innovative when there is contextual planning and identification and assessment of urban issues, including awareness of community and the environment. While solutions may be inventive they must ultimately bring added value.
Mission
The Firm focuses on agility and the ability to adapt to constant and rapid changes in the architectural industry. Challenges are presented continuously with both typologies and technologies evolving at a breakneck pace; with firm resolve we determinedly set out to embrace the entire spectrum. We seek to provide answers through design, materials, research and both new as well as time-proven technology and methods.
LLA strives very conscientiously to arrive at effective designs and this becomes especially critical when dealing with any urban renewal project for which the Firm has earned a deserved reputation. The aspiration to enrich communities with innovative, inclusive, workable and sustainable design solutions underlies all our approaches. Any current urban renewal should take cognisance of the reduction of the carbon footprint through eco-engineering and meticulous retrofitting and re-use and LLA views this sustainability issue as central in its approach to urban issues.

Established as Laurence Loh Arkitek in 1983, the fledgling practice then resolutely set out to distinguish itself in creative and distinctive quality design in architecture, urban planning, interior design, landscaping and in conservation authenticity.
The approach at Arkitek LLA is to create architecture specific to the local context, culture & environment.
