Designing a tropical family home for a fellow architect comes with its own challenges, but nothing gives us more satisfaction than completing a residential marvel that marries the home’s original foundation with novel elements. Developed around the concept of borrowed views, the single-storey home in Jesselton expands the landscape scenery so that a vista can be enjoyed from any point of the premise. All the materials used to craft this one-of-a-kind passive home were sourced locally, and we preserved each and every tree found on site to further enhance the atmosphere and aesthetic.
